I am so excited for this new journey and wanted to share my story and the reason behind creating Empower Purpose. My husband and I are proud parents of four beautiful children, aged 34, 28, 22, and 18.
Helping teens and families has always been my passion, and my dream was to open a non-profit organization dedicated to this cause. At forty, I returned to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in human services/management, determined to make this dream a reality.
My Story
In 2022, our family faced an unimaginable heart-breaking experience. Our son was diagnosed with bi-polar and was battling severe anxiety and depression. During this time, he attempted to end his life three times. By the grace of God, he is still with us today. We witnessed divine intervention, and our faith grew stronger.
Our experiences, struggles, and trials have given us a unique perspective. As parents of a child diagnosed with bi-polar and struggles anxiety and depression, we know the fear and helplessness that can overwhelm. Yet, through faith and trust in God, we found strength and wisdom.
Empower Purpose is born from this journey. It is our mission to provide hope and purpose to others facing similar challenges. We believe that our darkest moments can illuminate the path for others.
Lord, we thank you for making our passion a reality. We pray for wisdom, knowledge, and guidance in helping everyone who comes to Empower Purpose. It is not about us; it is about your work in helping teens, families, and individuals. Heavenly Father, you are in control, and we give you all the praise. Amen.
